Or does it have to be the ANSI class II orange?
Reason I ask is because that class III yellow is what u currently wear as an EMT and don't want to buy another one if I don't need too.

MemberI received my conditional offer on 26 Oct 2011 for Conductor Trainee class in Clovis NM that started 16 Jan 2012. On Dec 30 BNSF Medical sent an email wanting more tests due to my BMI. Because of the tests needed I was not able to make that class. I jumped through hoops and did all the tests. Was told I had mild sleep apnea. On Jan 12 I got an email from Director of Medical Support services informing me I was nolonger processing for the Jan class and that BNSF HR showed my target start date as 3/26/12. I got the CPAP machine and sent BNSF Medical the 2 weeks of compliance data they requested on Jan 30. Got an email on 2/1/12 stating I meet medical standards. Another email on 2/2/12 saying you are Provisionally qualified for the Conductor Trainee position. Beginning six months and one year after you start employment you will need to provide a follow-up report from your doctor documenting the condition of your sleep apnea and ongoing compliance with CPAP therapy. I emailed the BNSF HR lady asking if I am still slotted for the 3/26/12 class and all she said was watch your email. I was wondering if anyone could tell me when I should expect the Final Offer email?? Should it come shortly or will I probably have to wait til week or two prior to the class date? Thanks for your help and good luck to everyone still waiting.

MemberI interviewed Jan 11, got conditional offer one week later, Jan 18. I am JUST now completeing the physical, Feb 10, and today is the strength test, Feb 13. They really do drag this process out. The whole sleep apnea thing might be my ONLY snag in this entire process. I sent a large fax to CHS with all the data of my sleep studies, (I had another one done to compare data to from 7 yrs ago) and sent them the first compliance download from my CPAP. The CHS rep called me and said I was 10% under compliance! She said send me another compliance download in 14 days. I did the math and it is not possible to raise my compliance from 60% to 70% in 14 days... it will take more like 60-70 days. Does this mean I will be disqualified?!?! This is THE ONLY red flag on my entire pre-employment... has anybody else experienced this and if so, did they allow you to continue with the understanding that you will get your compliance levels with in the acceptable range as soon as possible? I would hate to be DQ'd from this for something as small as this! Advise... please!

The CHS people told me that I needed to show these parameters (70% of time at least 4 hrs a night or more for 14 days). Sounds like that is what they are asking from you and that you are just not using the machine the amount of time they are wanting to see. I would try to show at least 6 hrs of usage per night for 14 days. I use my machine for avg of 7 hours a night. I provided data print outs for 14 days. They accepted that and provisionally qualified me. Best advise is to do that and definitly don't give up yet.

MemberDoes anyone know how long it takes to get a final offer after completing the medical exam? I received an email a week and a half ago saying i meet the medical standards and haven't heard anything since. My original target date when i first applied months ago was March 26th but they haven't sent me anything saying what it is since.

MemberDoccaroo how did they inform you of official hiring? Also anyone know what the deal is when chs says your record is being reviewed by a bnsf medical officer? I have completed everything and after dealing with the witch at chs she finally replied it is under bnsf medical officer review. They are trying to give me crap because i didnt have my final VA findings paperwork. Even though it is against the law for them to ask me for it and i am not obligated to give it to them. Any help on these issues would be nice, start date is supposed to be the 27th of this month in fort worth. So much for being abke to give current employer 2 weeks
