Fastvsix: Call her or email her. If she put her number on it, then go for it. Just don't call it often - once should be enough. If you get a chance, PM me with her name.

Jessica: When did you apply and what does your application status say on the Taleo site?

Busbrown - that's a good sign. Just try to be patient. It can take a little while. Especially with all the hiring going on now.

It says pending review and 2 months ago.

Jessica you may want to call HR and see if you missed anything like an email or something.

blathrop99, I sent the email and did get a response, hr said they are just waiting for a date to put me in. They did appreciate the email. Have some questions related to the work schedule of a conductor. Do you just come in, assigned a train to take out with the related cars? How often are you away from home? I was told approx 2-3 nites a week. I know your only alotted a 12 hr shift, does that include overtime or just straight money for the 12 hrs? At the end of the 12 hrs do you just stop and stay at a hotel? I'll be working in Charlotte, NC and my territory is roughly 150 miles. I'm being told that will be my turf I'll be responsible for. Where can I obtain the signals for this area? I know it's alot of ?'s but just need to know, it's a whole new world for me. Thanks.

80sHockey: Congratulations! When you start and until you get enough seniority to bid slot, you will work off the extra board. This means that you are on a call list. When they have a train for you they will call you and you will come in. These shifts will typically be nights, weekends and holidays but there will be some days as well. It's all about seniority. When you get called they will tell you what time you will need to come in. You should get at least 2 hrs notice. Most of the time you will work your 12 hours out, stay in a hotel during your rest period and work another 12 hrs back and have that rest period at home. Basically you are away every other night. I'll need to review the contract that covers Charlotte to see how OT is handled - I'll get back to you on that unless someone on here answers it first. I'll send you a PM and we can discuss the signals. I think I got everything. I'll be training at REDI until late August so maybe I'll see you there.

Looking to get some info about CSX Florence division. Is there a biweekly guarantee for being on the extraboard? Where do the runs go to? Any info is greatly appreciated.

I have my physical Thursday morning here in KC, then next Friday I have my strength test in Indianapolis. It's an 8 hour drive but it should be worth it.

So I have an interview with Csx for conductor on the 16th of this month I know to talk abou safety and all but I got a DUI when I was 22 I'm 25 this sept. Should I let them know in the interview so if they do run a back round check it's out in the open or should I leave it untold Let me know what some of you would do or if you work at Csx what should I do

Alman: First, I'm assuming that you disclosed it on your online application. If you did, I can almost guarantee you that they will bring it up. If you didn't then I'd wait until they turn the interview over to you for questions and I'd get it right out. Be prepared to discuss what you have learned from it and what you have done since to prevent it from happening again (quitting drinking would be good but don't say that unless you actually have done it). It's all about honesty and you taking ownership and doing something to prevent it from happening again. Good luck.

Bunk: It will definitely be worth it. Give it everything you've got and good luck.

I went and did the strength test on Thursday and it took a full hour..Showed up 30 minutes early and jumped right into it..The guy was really pushing things right along. Dont be afraid to ask questions the guy I had made me fill all the paper work out and listen to the CD at the same time. I was his last appt for the day so im sure he was in a hurry to get out of there. Over all it wasnt to bad dont stress out about it... it will only make it worse..I did look at the computer as i was doing the biodex and did notice a difference in my arms but then again they ask which arm is your primary hand.

I received a call to set up a phone interview for a Engineering Management Trainee position. Does anyone know the outline of how the interview will go? Like what they might be looking for and what the next step could be? Also any pointer would be great.

Has anyone on this thread applied for or heard anything from the Nashville TN terminal Freight Conductor Position? I applied back in October of last year and I see that they are now "No longer accepting job submissions" as of a couple days ago. Still says "Application pending review" on my end. :) Hopefully will change to "Pending Manager Review" soon. I called HR in Florida and they said that they were just now on top of it and all applicants will be hearing from someone in the near future one way or the other. This particular area's needed openings has jumped up the last few months to presently having 52 job openings. The best to all!!!
