How is the drug testing done at union pacific.

Im pretty sure it is a hair follical and a urinalysis test. Thats pretty standard for all of the railroads.

At CSX they are looking at the past 6 months.

BN's 90 day test requires aprox. 1 1/2" hair sample, to look back 6 months would require a 3" long hair sample. Maybe 10% of the people at my interveiw/test/drug test session would have had that much hair to give them. They managed to get enough from my armpit, but if they'd of wanted 3" of hair it wouldn't have happened.

@ i realize what you are saying while i was sitting in my first hiring session with NS they drilled us that the hair test goes back 6 months and if you went to a party and smoked something and didnt know what it was to leave now and try again at a later hiring session. Maybe kenken304 is in the same boat?
