Greetings! My name is Stanley and I live in Atlanta, Ga. I have been a firefighter for about 7 years and spent a year in Iraq. I have applied to NS for conductor position in Atlanta, Gainesville and Macon Ga. I have also applied for the conductor position with CSX in Manchester GA. I was invited to a hiring session Jan 4th with NS however I had to decline because of another obligation I simply could not get out of. I called HR and explained my situation and they said it was no big deal and I could be considered for another opening as long as it was a different “code”. I am really hoping for to hear something soon! I had a friend who left the fire service 4 years ago to work for CSX and he loved it initially until he was furloughed and did not return to work with CSX. Good luck to all and I will be buying the E-Book very soon!

Hello, my name is Adam and I'm from Wisconsin. I've been visiting the forums for awhile now and purchased the ebook about a year ago. I thought I'd start posting here if I have questions, and maybe my luck will change and I'll get hired sometime. I've had three interviews for CP since 2010. The last one was last month, but but nothing came out of it yet again. I may consider NARS after this summer, but not sure yet. Thanks for the help so far.

Hi Everyone,
I am new to the forum. I wanted to thank Sean for creating this forum for us. I had an interview with UP in Baton Rouge, LA last week and got a Thank You. I got Sean's book a day before the interview, so I only had one day to prep. I thought I answered everything correctly and just how they wanted them answered. But, to no avail a Thanks but, no thanks offer for train crew. I just don't want to wait 6 more months to apply. Or is that for that perticular area only? Hoping you guys can help me out on what the next step should be. I am very excieted about one day possibly getting a job with the train crew. ThanksPosted 2 months ago # -
Hi all, I'm Rick and have been using this forum to answer my questions and to satisfy my curiousity about the RR life for a number of months. I have received a conditional offer of employment for conductor in Vancouver, WA and now I'm playing the waiting game as I believe I have completed all the pre-employment steps. I had been been told that training was scheduled for April 16th but haven't heard any updates in a while...
Hoping for good news soon....Thanks to all who post their advice and experiences here on the forum.

BNSF Hopefull - You probably won't hear anything untill around the 1st/5th, so don't hold your breath mate, the RR works at it's own pace as you will find out.
For example, I dead headed from Seattle to Vancouver last night, typing this from my hotel room and we aren't scheduled for a train until later tonight.Posted 2 months ago #
