I received an e-mail this afternoon from Verifications Inc./BNSF telling me that they can't verify the last half of my past 7 years of employment. They suggested I go to the IRS to request my W-2s from those years. And before you ask, I don't have any of that information in my residence. Why they could verify the last 3 1/2 years but not '05-'08 is beyond me.
Does anyone have an idea about how to get there from here?
Yeah you better get is straightened out if you want the job.

I was able to get a hold of the IRS and they are sending me my tax returns for those years although it takes 7-10 business days to get them here. In the meantime, I called Verifications Inc. and got the problem solved with them as well. This seems to be a not uncommon problem with construction workers that have had multiple employers over the past 7 years. And, lastly, I sent a reply e-mail to BNSF/new hire explaining what was going on. I hope to hear back from them this week. I'll also check back with the person I talked to at Verifications, Inc. She was absolutely wonderful!!
