New and Improved Railroad Forum

by Sean Martin on February 9, 2011

We now have a new and improved railroad employment forum. I upgraded the forum so we now have ‘private messaging’, you can get email notifications on your favorite threads, and you can also upload a photo or avatar.

This will help members stay in touch in private and swap email addresses, etc…

It’s also nice that you can get an email when someone answers your question on the forum so this is a huge bonus!

I’ll see you on the forum.

BNSF I have a conductor trainee interview next week on Wed.Kansas City KS Really stoked I got an interview the first time I applied. I need this job, I recently was demoted at work from outside sales back to the warehouse where I started. Huge pay cut as well. Ive farmed with my dad, prior military, wondering what the realistic salary will be. I wanna buy the e-book but Im not sure after we pay bills on the 15th if there will be enough to go around. Wife and two young kids are expensive, what the hell was I thinking!

Hey Sean! It has been a long time. I am on a different email now. I am sory I haven’t been posting stuff on the forum and getting back to you. I was very busy finishing college. I am currently a Volunteer Trainman, Track Worker and Car Host on the Adirondack Scenic Railroad in Utica, NY. I just finished college and I applied for a conductor position for CSX and Canadian Pacific. I didn’t make it in with Canadian Pacific. I missed the post for the conductor position for the Staten Island Railway. CSX didn’t get back to me yet. I recently applied for a Conductor position with Norfolk Southern. I recieved a phone call today and have been invited to a interview session in the first week of April. I want everyone to know that giving up only leads to failure. Never give up!! Thanks Sean for helping me and showing me this great website! Your book will really help me win the interview!
