Wow, I’m getting emails now pretty much everyday from people who have
gotten my RR jobs guide e-book and have gotten hired!~

It appears railroad employment is up!

Here are 5 more emails I got on the 10 & 11th of this month August!

I purchased your book online and now Im a railroader too!! Bnsf
conducter in Chicago Its a real adventure!! All thanks to Seans
book the ultimate stragedy guide to landing a job on the railroad.

Dave

Hi sean i ve been finally hired by canadian national railway as
intermodal helper!! too cool!! see ya
Louis L.

I got my railroad job with kcs railway and I start on sept.
6!!!!!!!! Thanks for ur help.

Anthony L.

I finally got hired on with CSX after 2 long years. My first ever
job interview I lucked up and got hired out of 60 people I was the
#1 hire. I went and submitted background check and drug test and
passed. Well I guess I took the physical strength test a little
to light. I’ve never been over weight but I guess I was out of
shape. So for 2 straight years I applied at csx and kept getting
rejection letters. I bought your book at the beginning of 2010 and
finally got invited to 3 different jobs for track workers. Your book
definitely put the icing on the cake. I got put in all 3 pools but
after several months of sitting and waiting and hearing nothing I
got discouraged. So I figured I would try some conductors jobs out
so I applied and got invited to 4 interviews after some good
interviews I thought a few days later I got 4 rejection letters. I
was really bummed but 20 mins later on fri June 21 I got a call
asking me if I still wanted the track workers job. I said hell yeah
and started the process. I’ve been working out 6 days a week since
Jan so needless to say I was off the charts on the strength test this
time. I start my training Sept 20 and plan on working for CSX for
30 + years. Thanks for your help sean and I recommend your book to
all my friends!

Daniel W.

Sean,

I recently got 2 job offers after getting your guide!!!!!!! 1 as an
asst.signalman and the other as a brakeman.

Todd

If you want the Railroad Jobs Guide downloadable e-book you can
still secure your copy here: www.GetaRailroadJob.com

If you got hired keep the emails flowing in! It’s encouraging
for everyone to read them!

thanks,

Sean

Good News! The railroads are hiring again. I just got 2 more emails from people who bought the railroad jobs guide and got hired in the last week or so. Here they are…

Received 8-8-2010
Hi Sean,
It’s funny I got this email from you today too, because I just recently
got hired by Canadian Pacific Railway as a conductor last week. There were
1,550 applicants, 30 selected for an interview session and 6 available
positions.

It took me about 4 other times to apply in the last 2 years to
even get invited to the interview session, but this time I got invited and
lucked out. I even got hired in my hometown terminal! Your article
information definitely helped land a job, especially with key words to
help my resume stick out, and preparation for being in the hot seat for an
interview. Thanks Sean!
Sincerely,

Eric Abbate

Here is the second one I just got on 8-7-2010:

SEAN,
i GOT MY RAILROAD JOB FINALLY FOR NORFOLK SOUTHERN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THANK YOU
SOO MUCH!!!!!!!!!

Shane K.

If you been on the fence on wether or not to get your own copy of the
Railroad Jobs Guide now is the time to invest in it, study it, and apply it!

Till next time!

Sean Martin

This video is about Yardmasters who are the guys who sit high up in the yard towers and are in charge of

Here is a video of BNSF conductors job switching railroad cars
at a car crossing. So the bell you hear is the crossing arms
at the intersection. You can hear the radio conversation pretty
good on this video. This is most likely a “local” train because
there are 2 conductors and it’s at an intersection in town. Typically locals work days and are the best jobs but take a lot of seniority to hold.

You have to be very carefull when switching cars because this is
where the majority of accidents happen. You have to stay focused because it’s easy to get hit by another train switching cars or moving on another track.

Here is a short video of a coal train enroute to Essexville Karn Weadock power plant near Bay City. This is in Saginaw, MI.
Coal trains are the most boring to be working on because they are very heavy and long. If you break a knuckle most likely you will have a long walk back to the train. Because they are a heavy train they take a long time to get any where. UP and the BNSF railroad haul all the coal from the Powder River Basin here in Wyoming and take it East.

I get this question a lot and it is this. How can I get hired as a railroad locomotive engineer? The answer is that you first must be a railroad conductor before you can become an engineer. You have to get hired as a conductor and then with senority you eventually go to school and they train you to become an engineer.

So if you have seen some schools that offer to train you as an engineer then forget about it because you can’t get hired directly as an engineer.

I hope that clears things up for some you you guys!

thanks,
